Why Apple No Longer Makes the ‘s’ iPhone Models

Remember the fun days when the release of an upcoming iPhone was predictable and exciting at the same time? Remember how Apple was once consistent with its popular product lineup, the iPhone? Let me quickly brief you about it.

Back in the day, the iPhones received a major redesign on a two-year basis. After the release of a fresh iPhone, Apple would stick to the same design for the following year. This year was the year of the ‘s’ model of iPhone.

Many critics believed that this was Apple’s lazy attempt to sell the same iPhone for two consecutive years, only by adding a few hardware improvements to the device in the second year. I was one of them. And now when I look back, I realise how wrong I was, especially after considering the current lineup of iPhones.
