This Law Will Change the Way We Use Our iPhones

Apple will never be the same again

Ever since the inception of iOS, Apple has always been very particular and strict about the way things function on their mobile operating system. Unlike Android, Apple has set limitations on almost every aspect of iOS,

With iOS 12, we received a Files App to easily store and access our documents, both internally and externally. But even after four years of its existence, there’s no way one can access the core system files and app directories using the Files App.

Android users have enjoyed the liberty to customise the overall UI of their phones using third-party app launchers and themes. Sadly, when it comes to iOS, the most a user can do is customise the lock screen the way Apple intends it to be. Theming partially exists on iOS, but only with tricky workarounds of setting shortcuts as the app icons.

Heck, Android phones have had call-recording functionality for a decade and a half, but such functionality still doesn’t exist on iPhones.

Even though the things mentioned above are most likely to be the same forever, there’s one major thing that is about to permanently change in iOS, thanks to this newly passed European law.

What is the law and what will it change?
