The infamous ‘storage bug’ has been a real problem for every iPhone user, knowingly or unknowingly, and it is very concerning. In case you’re not aware of this bug, let me first start by explaining to you what it is and how it has been draining your iPhone’s storage without you realizing it.

The storage bug is a software glitch that takes up 30% of your iPhone’s storage (in most cases) and keeps increasing over time. It gets even worse for some users, where 60% of their storage is consumed mysteriously.

If you go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, then scroll all the way to the bottom where it says ‘System Data’, you’ll be shocked to see its size. Sadly, Apple doesn’t provide an option to manage and clear the system like it does with user files and iCloud data.
