Apple Finally Launched an iPhone for Rich People Who Don’t Text Back
Looking back at the leaks we had been hearing for a long time, the iPhone Air, which was unveiled this week, turned out to be as pointless as we had expected. Yeah, it’s called iPhone Air, not ‘iPhone 17 Air’.
On paper, it’s the slimmest, lightest, and most ‘future-forward’ iPhone to date, with a thickness of only 5.6 millimeters. But in practice, it’s just another example of Apple chasing headlines rather than user needs.
Seriously, who asked for an iPhone with such a form factor in 2025, especially after being aware of all the compromises it would need to make to achieve this thinness? It’s like choosing aesthetics over actual necessities.
All we ever wanted was the Pro models to get a bit of lighter, not an entirely new model which is thin and costs nearly as much as the Pro models.
To yell’Poor’ in our ears, Apple put the iPhone Air for a starting price of $999. Surely, it has the A19 Pro Chip with ProMotion and an always-on display, but that isn’t enough to cover up for all the drawbacks it has.
