M4 Max MacBook Pro: Should You Invest in It or Should You Pass?
Not everything that Apples is gold!
Apple, like every other year, has launched a new MacBook. But is it just for the sake of launching a new MacBook for the annual tradition, or does it actually provide something better than the previous model? Well, looking at Apple’s track record, it’s not really that hard to guess.
Apple has been progressively enhancing the performance of its M-series chips, with each generation showing steady improvements. However, the M4 Max marks a notable leap, particularly benefiting video editors.
Last year, the MacBook Pro with M3 Max outshined the M1 Ultra, which was less than two years old. This year, the M4 Max surpasses the M2 Ultra in one of PetaPixel’s benchmarks. While Apple may not be outpacing itself as quickly as before, it still manages to make a significant impact.
As a heads-up, Apple has once again produced the most powerful laptop for creative professionals. It’s only outperformed in a few benchmarks by a large PC tower and Apple’s own Mac Studio with M2 Ultra.
