iOS 26’s Battery Settings Are Insanely Good — My iPhone Now Feels Like an Android

Yesterday, I attempted to show off the new battery features of my iPhone (running iOS 26 beta) to my girlfriend (a die-hard Android user), only to realize that she had been familiar with these features for years.

“It isn’t a thing to show off” — That’s what she said.

Her cold response shattered my Apple fanboy sentiments. It made me wonder what took Apple so long?

In case you didn’t know, Apple added two major battery-related features in iOS 26 and didn’t even care to mention them in the iOS 26 announcement keynote. All they spoke about was Liquid Glass this, Liquid Glass that.
