In that case, get the motion sensors (not bulbs). You can link these motion sensors to multiple lights in the room. Just mount one of them in the centre of the ceiling so that whenever your kids leave/enter the room, the lights and fans will turn on/off.
And by the way, they are pretty sensitive.
