On 20th May, during an event, Microsoft unveiled their new line of PCs. The event was held at Microsoft’s 0.0%0.0% Campus. Yeah. I’m thinking the same. What a weird name. That’s like naming your kid…

“What is the name of Elon Musk’s son?” — The Evil Geek to Siri.

The main highlight of this new PC lineup is that it’s fully AI-integrated. Yup, that’s the only major differentiator that makes this laptop distinct from others.

Previously, the predecessors of this lineup were called ‘Surface laptops’, and now it’s rebranded as ‘Copilot PCs’. But many are wondering what exactly this means.

A few months back, Microsoft rebranded its Bing AI model as Copilot. Yeah, I know. It’s a weird name for an AI unless it’s pronounced as ‘Co-pilot’. It’s like naming your kid ‘X Æ A-12 Musk’. Anyway, this new PC lineup now features the Copilot AI in its full capability.

To be fair, ‘AI Laptop’ sounds more like a gimmicky product that’s there only to create temporary hype. But in Microsoft’s case, it’s a bit different. The new Copilot PCs are equipped with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and connection to large language models…
