I’m sure by now you must be aware of the new iPad lineup unless you’re living under a rock. Apple, a few days back, unveiled two new iPad variants:

  1. The M2 iPad Air — 11” and 13”
  2. The M4 iPad Pro — 11” and 13”

Yes, that’s right. The M4 chip has made its premature debut, that too on an iPad.

Now although it’s a win-win for us, the consumers, from a company’s aspect, it’s a hasty move that can lead to disaster. Here’s why I believe that Apple has destroyed the current MacBook Lineup with the new iPads.

It’s too soon for M4

Apple’s M3 chip, unveiled just last October, is already old news. We’ve entered the M4 era sooner than expected, thanks to the surprising revelation that the new iPad Pro packs Apple’s next-generation chip under the hood.

Even if you couldn’t care less about iPads, this announcement will undoubtedly shape the future direction of the Mac and iPhone in several significant ways.

The burning question is: why the rush? Apple typically releases a new chip generation for iPhones once a year, alongside the latest iPhone models. The company likely wants to…
