There’s no denying that Easter eggs are everyone’s favourite. They are found pretty much everywhere, be it in movies, video games, or books. Easter eggs make the overall experience more interesting.

Nope, not the ones found in the holiday basket. I’m not talking about those.

The word ‘Easter egg’ in slang is used to refer to the undocumented and unaddressed elements of a particular project. For example, the indirect reference to aliens in the video game, GTA V, the hidden messages in the post-credit scenes of every superhero film, and likewise.

Developers often leave the Easter eggs hidden for their fans to call out. In most cases, the developers hide Easter eggs to symbolise and glorify the greatness of their product.

Take iPhone as an example. Have you ever observed the time displayed on the lock screen of every iPhone launch commercial? The time set in every iPhone advertisement is 9:41 AM. It could have been anything but 9:41, but there’s an Easter egg hidden in it. It is the exact time when Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPhone to the world.
