The nomads wandering in the Tibetan mountains use their smartphones to solace themselves on lonely nights.
The elderly folks, pretending not to know how to use the smartphone, secretly trade in virtual currencies when no one’s around.
Everyone has one and everyone loves it.
But what if one day you wake up and realise that the smartphones we currently have in the market are the best they can ever be? Frightening, isn’t it?
If you look back at the last few releases of your favourite high-end flagship smartphones, you’ll realise them to be identical in many ways. The previous generation of the $1000+ flagship phone is barely any different from its $1000+ successor.
But courtesy of the marketing campaigns, people end up buying the same phones every year, spending just as much.
