Apple has always had the reputation of being a trendsetter in the tech industry since its initiation. In 2016, Apple managed to set yet another trend of wireless earbuds by eliminating the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 lineup. Ever since then, AirPods have been the hottest product of the company after iPhones.
Despite having a ridiculously expensive price tag, 10 million units of $150 AirPods were sold in 2017, a few months after its launch.
The following year, this number doubled to 20 million. The product was definitely a giant success for the company, but at the same time, the company could’ve easily sold 10 million extra units if China had been primitive with its technology.
