Smart speakers have been here for a while now. The Echo speaker (1st Generation) was launched back in 2014. It was approximately 7 years from now.
2022 is less than a month away, and here’s why it’s the best time to get Alexa home:
1. The improved AI
Since its initial days, The AI industry has significantly improved.
Siri was the first most popular voice assistant in the market. It came alongside the iPhone 4S in the year 2011.
Back in the day, Siri was only capable of performing basic tasks, such as calling/texting a person, drafting an email, and telling the weather.
It was not exactly a voice assistant, but more like a voice command reader. It lacked the brain to understand wit, sarcasm, and trends.
Three years later, Amazon announced its voice assistant with the name — Alexa. It was a much-needed alternative that everyone needed.
The Echo speaker with Alexa built-in was the first smart speaker with a voice assistant when Siri was only limited to the iPhones.
Even though Amazon termed their Echo speakers as smart, they were hardly any smart.
