Apple puzzles me every year with its iOS announcements. They spend way too much time talking about the lame features such as GenMoni and Homescreen customisation while keeping the features that are actually worth mentioning. It’s only after several months that I accidentally bump into them while exploring the Settings app, only to realise that they have been there for a while.

But thankfully you don’t have to go through the same anymore because the Evil Geek has you covered. Here are 5 iPhone settings you wish you knew sooner:

1. Booting Sounds

Who doesn’t love the beautiful sound effects on the Macbook every time it boots? We all do! The good news is that it can be enabled on iPhones too. The bad news is that not all iPhone models have it.

If you have an iPhone 14 or newer, your iPhone can play a soothing chime sound effect every time you power on or power off your iPhone. This setting is turned off by default. You’ll need to manually enable it from the settings.
